Reservations are suggested.  A deposit of 50%, or a minimum of one night's lodging, is required per room in the form of a personal check, money order or travelers check to confirm and hold a reservation.  The balance is due in cash or travelers checks at check in.  Late bookings (less than 5 days prior to arrival) require cash payment in full at check in.  Reservations will be held 5 days from booking date so that your check will have time to reach us. Upon receipt of deposit, confirmation will be sent along with our brochure which has directions.  Deposits should be mailed to Strathmore House, 658 Wissler Road, Quicksburg, VA 22847  Deposits will be refunded if a seven (7) notice of cancellation is given, less a $15 processing fee.  Deposits for reservations canceled less than seven days prior to arrival are non-refundable with an option to reschedule within ninety (90) days.  Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of time of arrival or departure.  Autumn foliage, holiday and certain other weekends require a minimum of a two night stay.

 

 

Check in and check out:  Check-in is between 3-6 PM.  Please notify us if you must arrive after 6 PM but before 8 PM.  We cannot accept guests arriving after 8 PM.  Checkout is 11 AM.

Smoking:  Strathmore House is a smoke-free establishment.  Smoking is permitted outside on the south terrace only.

 

Children:  Strathmore House does not accommodate children.  The house was planned and designed as a romantic escape for people desiring peace and serenity away from their workaday lives.  It is not suitable for children due to its many antiques, valuables and breakables.

 

Pets:  Regret we do not accommodate pets.
